Lisa D. Anderson

Lisa D. Anderson, age 49, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on April 1, 2019.  She was born on November 5, 1969 to Rodney Sewell and Evelyn Dunn Sewell. 

Lisa loved her family and friends passionately, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.  She was a devoted daughter, wife, mom, mammy and friend.  She was very unselfish and would do anything she could do to help someone in need.  She was also an exceptionally strong person.  Lisa loved animals, especially dogs.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 28 years, Marty Anderson; parents, Rodney Sewell and Evelyn Sewell; son, Josh Anderson; sister, Becky Sewell; grandchildren, Jayden Dane Anderson and Avery Grace Anderson; nieces and nephews, Taylor Ward, Eric Ward, Ethan Ward, Nicole Ward, Taylor Rogers, Samantha Hovey and Katie Hovey; several cousins and many special friends.

The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Eric Ward, Daniel Hightower, Aaron Freeman, Scott Barton, Chris Forrester, Robbie Sewell and Asa Main.  Honorary pallbearers are Bob Stout, Jack Proffitt, Will Kerley, Doug Forrester and Ronnie Dunn.

Memorials may be made in Lisa’s memory to the Johnson County Cancer Support Group, c/o Flo Bellamy, 3510 Hwy 421 N, Mountain City, TN 37683.

At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her mother, 218 Shoun Street, Mountain City, TN.
