Linda Dyson

Linda Mae Dyson, age 74, passed away February 16, 2026 at her home. Linda was born April 4, 1951 to the late Clay and Wanda Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Payne.

Linda enjoyed crafting and was very talented at painting, cross-stitching and working puzzles. She also liked working in her greenhouse, growing all kinds of different flowers. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 54 years, Charles Dyson; daughter, Karen Potter; sister, Cathy Payne; brother, Larry Payne; grandchildren, Hailey “Stella” Potter, Jacob Potter; sisters-in-law, Carol Gilley, Judy Farmer; several nieces and nephews and her beloved church family at Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

The graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Dunn Cemetery with Pastors Russ Poteet and David Bentley officiating.

The family of Linda Mae Dyson has entrusted her care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
