Leslie Wayne Reece

Leslie Wayne Reece, age 60, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at his home. He was born August 31, 1958 in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late Janice Reece Ruddy. In addition to his mother, Wayne was preceded in death by his special friend, Ilona Anderson; uncle, Carl Reece, Sr.; Aunt and uncle, Polly and Clinton Breaux. Wayne retired from Dewey Wright Well and Pump in Boone, NC. He enjoyed fishing, shooting guns and sawmilling. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his daughter, Susan Taylor and husband Billy; son, John Reece; sister, Denise Ruddy; grandson, Caleb Fletcher; aunt, Rose Reece; cousins, Debbie Waters and husband Jim, Carl Reece, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Becca, Andrew, Jayden; and his special friends and neighbors in the Miningtown Community. A gathering of family and friends and memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Johnson County Cancer Support Group, % Flo Bellamy, 3510 Highway 421 N, Mountain City, TN 37683.
