Laverne Walsh

Laverne Elizabeth Walsh, age 77, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at her home. Laverne was born on November 26, 1944 in Lodi, OH to the late Forest and Ruth Bowersock. Laverne was a good Christian woman who loved to knit, crochet, and read - she always had a good book in her hand. She was also sassy with a sense of humor and was a dedicated church member, wife, mother, and grandmother. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 39 years, James Walsh; daughter, Kimberly Michelle Ramey; step-daughters, Susie Snyder, Tootsie Hershey, and Nina Dehmel; son, James Russell Bowersock; step-son, James “Rusty” Walsh Jr.; grandchildren, Ashelyn Walters, Lauren Walters, Irelyn Fields, Tara Davis, Amanda, Adam, Lindsay, Nicholas, Tara, Brian, Bethany, Zoey, Sandi, Anna Beth, Sam, Raini, Cierra; great grandchildren, Sara Davis, Kayden Davis; several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastors Steven Spencer and Michael Icenhour officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Rainbow Cemetery.
