Kimberly Kay Pennington, born October 8, 1966, in Fauquier County, passed away peacefully at her home in Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, on March 7, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Shelby Blevins; her brother, Ira “Micky” Blevins Jr.; and her beloved dog, Cooper.

Kimberly married Stephen Gorsline on August 11, 2013, and they shared many cherished years together. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) before retiring, and in retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her dog Loki. Known for her thoughtfulness and loving spirit, Kimberly’s warmth touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Gorsline; her sister Elizabeth Waddell and her husband James, along with their children Michael, Chris, and Mathew Waddell; her son Kenneth Pennington and his wife Danielle, and their son Hayden; her stepson Stephen Gorsline and his wife Jade, with their children Michael, Nevaeh, Nova, Memphis, Waylon, and Amy; her stepdaughter Kaitlyn Gorsline and her daughter Avery and nieces, Nicole Grimmett and Shae Blevins.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 14, 2026, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. and service starting at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN. The family warmly welcomes all friends and family who can attend.

In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Kimberly’s memory.

Kimberly’s legacy of love and kindness will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
