Kenneth Walton

Kenneth G. Walton, age 65, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2022 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. He was born on May 26, 1957 to the late Boy and Bly Walton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Jody Milam. Kenneth loved all things with cars, dirt track racing and NASCAR were his favorites. He was a very outgoing person and enjoyed horses and watching westerns. Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Kendi Lancaster (Colton) of Charlotte, NC, Kelsey Walton of Charlotte, NC; son, Brian Walton (Jennifer) of West Jefferson, NC; sisters, Patty Woodie (Terry) of West Jefferson, NC, Becky Lowe (Jimmy) of Butler, Kimra Campbell (Rick) of Shady Valley; brother, Roy Walton of Piney Flats; grandchildren, Kole Walton, Zoey Walton; several nieces, nephews, one great niece, great nephews, one great great niece; special friends, Kelly, Danielle and Michael Shepherd, Bud and Pat Mahaffey, Steve Barker, Jeff Howell, Jeff Calhoun, Ronnie Jones, Jerry Miller and Leon Steagall. The family would like to thank Michelle Manuel for all her loving care. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow with Pastor Daniel Jones officiating.
