Kathy Thomas, age 71, of Mountain City, TN; passed away Saturday morning, May 24, 2025 at her home. She was born February 26, 1954 to the late Garnett and Ruby Greer Gentry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Barb Lipford, Betty Trivett and Lois Roark, and brothers, Wade Gentry and Billy Jay Gentry, two nephews, Tommy Jack Lipford and William Isaacs.

Kathy retired from Johnson County School System Food Service Department. She loved children and being with them. She enjoyed going to the beach, shopping and most of all going to Church. Kathy was a member of Dewey Christian Church. For those who knew her best knows how she loved to spend time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of almost 52 years, Kenneth Thomas; son Brian Thomas (Joy); sister, Diana Gentry (Glenn Stewart); brother-in-law, Grady Roark and sister-law-law, Debra Mahan, nieces, Lisa Greer, Bobbie Jo Brooks, Pam Arnold, LaDonna Trivette, Jenny Young, Melissa Summerow and Bobbie Jo Dickens, nephews, Wayne Lipford and William Hawkins, along with several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service and burial will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Sunset Memorial Park with C.D. Bud Gentry minister officiating. Pallbearers will be George Triplett, Duane Bouchelle, Justin Arnold, Jason Arnold, Caleb Lipford and Keith Gwinn. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Roark and Cody Young. Everyone is ask to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. to travel in procession.
