Kathy Morefield

Kathy Gail Morefield, age 66, passed away at her home on June 6, 2021. Kathy was born on November 3, 1954 to the late Robert Ward and Bonnie Potter Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ward Neatherly and brother, Bob Ward. Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her home. For those that knew her best, knew she loved being at home and her beloved dog, Baylee. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 25 years, Bill Morefield; daughter, Lori Blevins; sisters, Gay Ward (Roger), Gladys Smith; brother, Tracy Ward (Sandy); grandchildren, Hunter Buchanan (Kelsey), Brian Blevins; great grandchildren, Emarie and Peyton Buchanan; special nephew, Clark Ward; special niece, Lisa Mann; special friend, Brenda Roark; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Corinth Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Bill Morefield, Sam Lawson, and Teddy Lewis officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hunter Buchanan, Brian Blevins, Rick Widener, Logan Sargent, Joseph Lawson, and Eric Farrow. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Roark and Corinth Baptist Church Family.
