Judy Shoun

Judy Ann Caudill Shoun born December 25, 1941 in Mountain City, TN passed away on September 21, 2024 at age 82. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Walter Ray Caudill and Nellie Ruth Rash Caudill of Mountain City, TN. She was married to Richard B. Shoun for 54 years who preceded her in death on August 13, 2016.

Judy graduated from Johnson County High School, Mountain City, TN and Steed Business College, Bristol,TN. She was employed by Kelly & Green, Bristol, VA prior to marriage after which she moved to Peach Bottom, PA. She worked for Herr’s Motor Express, Inc, Quarryville, PA as an Insurance Supervisor for 50 years and Rite Aid Corp., Quarryville, PA as a Pharmacy Tech for 15 years before retiring and moving back to Mountain City.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Mountain City, and also attended True Gospel Baptist Church, Quarryville, PA.

She enjoyed collecting quilts, reading and watching NASCAR races.

Judy is survived by her brother Samuel Dean Caudill (Susan) of Midland, NC, nephews Jacob Caudill (Brittani) of Indian Land, SC, James McKinney (Dottie), Conowingo, MD, Lonnie McKinney, Peach Bottom, PA, Raymond McKinney ( Sandy), Rising Sun, MD. She is also survived by many great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be at Mountain City Funeral Home on September 25,2024 from 12:30pm-1:30pm and graveside service will be at 2:00pm at Phillippi Cemetery, Cold Springs Road, Mountain City with Pastor David Hankal officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s, Hospital, Tampa, FL or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
