John Woodard

John Matthew Woodard, age 63, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Margate Health and Rehab Center of Jefferson. He was born on September 20, 1957 to the late Herbert Hoover Woodard and Betty Osborne Woodard in Ashe County, North Carolina. John was a beekeeper and really enjoyed working with his bees. He also loved working on small engines and helping people in any way possible. He loved his family and all kids in general. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Wanda Woodard; step-son, Kenneth Faircloth and wife Zelda; two sisters, three brothers; step-grandchildren, Matthew Faircloth, Anthony White, Aimee White and two special uncles, Bill Woodard and Glen Woodard. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor JB Shelton officiating. A private graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 the Lewis Cemetery in Creston, North Carolina.
