John Brown

John Brown, age 82, of Butler, TN passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Watauga Medical Center. He was born May 5, 1943 to the late Solen Brown and Mary Looney Brown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, John Timothy Brown; brothers, Ed, Jerry, Jimmy, Junior, and Dan; sisters, Helen, Ruth, and Hazel.

John was one who liked to stay busy. He enjoyed building projects and working cutting trees in the woods. John loved his animals and most of all he loved his family.

John was a member of New Beginnings Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 33 years, Pam Brown; daughter, Wendy Huffman; sons, Rick Brown (Teresa), Johnny Brown, and Rocky Brown (Johna); sisters, Claudett Hood and Myrtle Parker; grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Cory Brown, Kala Brown Hurst, Kale Brown, Chasity Ward, Nikki Huffman, Jeremy Huffman, Julie Huffman, Khristy Mark and Ronnie Mark; great grandchildren, Madelyn and Blake Brown, Elliott Hurst, Oliver Hurst, Owen Hurst, Elowyn Hurst, Grady Nickelson, Logan Nickelson, Collins Roberts and Sunni Brown; great great grandchild, Finn; sister-in-law, Victoria Browning and her children, Melissa and Becky; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service for John will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home.
