Jimmy Brown

Jimmy Ray Brown, age 59, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1966 to the late Claude and Betty Mae Brown. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his siblings, Mark Brown, George Brown, John Brown, Jack Brown, and Kathy Evans.

Jimmy was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed watching wrestling and NASCAR, especially with a Moon Pie in hand. Above all, Jimmy loved and cherished his grandbabies.

Those left to cherish his memories include his children, Billy Brown (Hannah), Betty Brown (John), and Patricia Compton (David); children he thought of as his own, Emma Earp (Tyler) and Christian Brown (Brian); grandchildren, Donnie Rhymer, Taegan Earp, Gabby Stanley, Andrew Fritz, Timothy Fritz, Braxton Andrews, Stormy Andrews, Megan Andrews, Henreigh Laws, Jayden Greer, and one on the way; sister, Nancy McFadden (Rob); aunt, Stella Rose Tester; mother of his children, Peggy Wagner; girlfriend, Tamera Milhorn; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. -12:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Sam Icenhour to officiate. The graveside service and burial will follow from the McFadden-Canter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Roberts, Jonathan Burleson, Tyler Earp, Brad Brown, Billy Brown, Tim Dugger, David Compton, and Alan McFadden. Honorary pallbearer is Johnny Stines.
