Jennett Reece

Jennett Reece, age 62, passed away on August 6, 2022 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. Jennett was born on January 12, 1960 to the late Alfred and Josephine Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathy Carpenter, Mattie Woodard and brother, J.D. Lewis. Jennett loved the outdoors and enjoyed going camping and random adventures with her daughter, Brittany. She also loved hanging out with her friends and taking trips to Pigeon Forge. Jennett also loved her animals, line dancing and a good cup of coffee. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 43 years, Jerry Reece; daughter, Brittany Reece; son, Shane Reece (Amanda); sisters, JoAnn Richardson, Melissa Brown, Pat Patrick; brother, Darrell “Doyle” Lewis; grandchildren, Ethan, Alyssa, Caleb, Payten; mother-in-law, JoAnn Reece; special friends, Janette Lyons, Janet Wilson, Ethel Hayes, Faye Sutherland; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Junior Seatz officiating.
