Jeffrey Payne

Jeffrey Leo Payne, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 17, 2021. Jeffrey was born on June 16, 1959 in Grundy, Virginia to the late William Payne and Alka Stacy Payne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ilene Lawson and brother, Billy Joe Payne. Jeff had a great sense of humor and loved being around his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing the drums and guitar with his group of friends. He was a member of Sink Valley Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Rebecca (Annie) Carver and husband Travis, Amanda Bays; sisters, Beulah Skeens, Virginia (Jenny) Kobart; brothers, Earl Payne, James Payne, Ralph Payne; grandchildren, Talley Jane (T.J), Ashlynne, Kayla, Jaden, Gage, Brianna, Madison, Cheyenne, Abriella (Abby); best friend, Bill Smith; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
