Jamie Dale Johnson Jamie Dale Johnson, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 11, 2020. Jamie was born on April 15, 1975 in Watauga County, NC to Jimmy Dale Johnson and Penny Fisher Johnson. Jamie enjoyed fishing, riding four-wheelers, and NASCAR. He also loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memories include his mother and best friend, Penny Johnson; father, Jimmy Johnson; daughters, Ashley Johnson and husband Mark Woodards, Kendra Johnson and husband Chris Key; son, Jamie Johnson II and wife Britney Harmon; sister, Angie Johnson Hood; brother, Jimmy Johnson II.; grandchildren, Gavin Woodards, Kylie Woodards, Marcus Woodards expected in November, Christopher Key, Hunter Key, Addison Johnson, Aiden Johnson; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The body will lie in state from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Mountain City Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rector Henson and Pastor Rick Hurley officiating. A graveside service will be held following the funeral at the Johnson Cemetery (1729 Fall Branch Rd). Pallbearers will be Mark Woodards, Chris Key, Jesse Brown, Joseph Fisher, Jamie Bryan, James Harmon, Justin Garland, Dustin Roush, Jason Johnson, and David Ragen. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Woodard, Gary Woodard II, Steve Johnson, Jamie Johnson II, and Jerry Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mountaincityfh.com .
