James Hayden McGlamery

James Hayden McGlamery James Hayden McGlamery, age 77, of Trade, TN, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Watauga Medical Center. Hayden was born on April 9, 1945 in Johnson County, TN to the late Raymond McGlamery and Jessie Neatherly McGlamery. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Harris McGlamery (January 3, 2002); brothers, Ray McGlamery and Bruce McGlamery; and sisters, Reba Hartzog and Annette Bentley. Hayden worked many years with Maymead Inc. and Vulcan Materials until his retirement. For those who knew him he was a Ford truck fan. He enjoyed gardening. Hayden was a member of Trade United Methodist Church. He is survived by sisters, Emily Shatley and Betty Trivette of Lenoir, NC; sister-in-law, Virgie McGlamery of Trade, TN; and four nieces and six nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Crabtree to officiate. The graveside service and burial will follow from the Trade Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family & friends.
