James Charles "Jimmy" Sisco

James Charles Sisco James Charles Sisco, age 86, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in The Waters at Roan Highlands in Roan Mountain. He was born on October 25, 1934 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late James Wesley Sisco and Katherine Louise Ichal Sisco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Sisco. James (Jimmy) retired from the United States Air Force with 26 years of service, having served in Vietnam and Korea. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and was a member the Johnson County Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Emma Jean “Lucy” Sisco, daughter, Cynthia Louise Travelbee, sons, James Wesley Sisco and wife Laura, Richard Nelson Sisco, sisters, Twilla Marrietta Sisco, Katherine Clark, brother, Thomas Sisco, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors accorded by Johnson County Honor Guard.
