Jack Warren

  Jack Warren, age 72, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22, 2018 at his home. He was born on June 21, 1946 to the late Raymond and Georgia Bumgardner Warren.  In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Judy Gwinn and husband Dave and brothers, Jerry Warren and Bill Warren, infant grandchild, Nautica Mae Warren. He was a 1965 JCHS Graduate. Jack was a United States Army Veteran.  He served in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Disabled American Veterans. Following his military career, Jack went to work at Brown Brothers Construction where he was a Supervisor for 21 years. He also worked at Humphreys Masonry for 10 years.  He was a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Leona Sluder Warren; daughter, Amber Warren; son, Nathan Warren and wife Tammy; step-daughter, Pam Pennington and husband Shane; step-sons, Craig Sluder and wife Raina and Chad Sluder and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Hayden, Natalie, Samuel, Dylan and Alexis; step-grandchildren, Jeff and wife Bridgette, Kalli, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Dalton; step-great grandchildren, Autumn and Ian; nephews, Carroll Chappell and wife Kellie and Keith Gwinn and wife Freida; special caregiver, Mary Alice Herdman and his companion and best friend, Lucky. Graveside service with military honors conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 25, 2018 at the Rainbow Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tommy Brewer, James Osborne, Butch Jennings, Lindsey Jennings, Lindsey Jennings Jr and William Branch. The family will receive friends at the home 309 Claude Warren Rd., Mountain City, TN 37683. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com. The family of Jack Warren entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home located at 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN.
