Irawanna Stewart

Irawanna Stewart, age 96 of Mountain City, TN entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2026 at her home with her family by her side. She was born to the late Verner and Dorothy Price in Shouns, TN on October 14, 1929. In addition to her parents, Irawanna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Stewart; daughters, Kathy G. Stewart and Lisa J. Stout; son, Wayne Stewart; sisters, Ivalee Miller and Nola Reese; and brothers, Ralph Price and Burl Price.

Irawanna was skilled at sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing the warmth of a home-cooked meal with those around her. She had a special love for flowers and found beauty in their colors and blooms. Irawanna cherished researching genealogy, preserving family history and stories for generations to come, and enjoyed scrapbooking as a way to capture and save special memories. Most important to Irawanna was her faith. She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church since she was a teenager, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. Her greatest wish for her children and grandchildren was that they trust in the Lord.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Darrel Stewart (Pat), Elaine Graybeal (Bob), Mary Winebarger (Don), Linda Isaacs (Mike), Eva Sue Hash (Mark), and Peggy Shaw (Gary); grandchildren, Angie Miller (Eric), Tammy Warden (John), Kelly Stewart (Bridget) Bobby Stewart, Lee Stewart (Amber), April Calhoun, Paul Graybeal (Kristina), Dorothy Jones (Chris), Amanda Foley (Tyler), William Winebarger (Kara), Jordan Isaacs (Sarah), Richard Hash, Aaron Church (Ashley), Amy Kyte (T.R.), Courtney Miller (Josh); 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Vergie Wallace and Anlue Price; brothers, Earl Price (Vickie) and Norman Price (Wilma); several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastors Mike Fenner and Ray Vaught officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
