Ida Main

Ida Mae Arnold Main, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020. Ida was born on May 20, 1942 in Johnson County, TN to the late Grace Walker Arnold and William Arnold. Ida was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Sidney Estel Main, two sisters, Margaret Ward and Marie Morefield, and a brother, Junior Arnold. Ida held several jobs during her life, but especially enjoyed taking care of her patients as a home health care worker. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church. She could always be heard singing one of her favorite gospel hymns. Ida was respected and loved by all that were blessed to know her. Those left to cherish her memories are daughter, Felicia Campbell and husband Charles, sons, Frank Main and wife Joetta, and Keith Main; grandchildren, Brooke Siewerth, Weston Campbell, Cameron Campbell, Jacob Main, Asa Main and wife Kristen; great-grandchildren, Frederick, Adeline, Charlie, Kayden, and Ryland; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Her family will miss her dearly, but will celebrate the kindness and love she has bestowed upon them for all these years. “…Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23 A private graveside service and burial at the Main Cemetery will be held now with a memorial for family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
