Harold Dean Thomas 12-7-1940 - 9-2-2022 Dean Thomas was peacefully called home to be with Lord on September 2, 2022. He was surrounded by this loving family. He resided in Bristol Va/Tn all his life. After graduating Tennessee High School, he worked many years for Kelly & Green. This was followed by his own business of Dean’s Color Lab. As life moved on, he and his family found themselves traveling roads with Raggedy Ann’s Concession Stand. On this journey, he met many dear friends, often referred to as our “road family”. Dean was known to be an easy-going person who always made people laugh. He leaves behind the legacy of kindness. Dean is predeceased by his parents, Jim and Edna Thomas, siblings Dorothy Pennington and Charlie Thomas. He is survived by his special team of caretakers, devoted and loving wife Ann, daughter Lynn Karriker and her husband Mike, special granddaughter Jesi Mink, and cherished dog, Poo. Others include granddaughter Tiffany Mink, special friend Cheryle Burkett and many loving extended family members, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be conducted by Preacher Tom Prater at Acre Field Cemetery in Laurel Bloomery, TN on September 6 at 2pm. Pallbearers will be Billy Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Randy Thomas, Roger Thomas, Robbie Price, Richard Mink, and Tom White. Honorary pallbearers include DonThomas, Terry Thomas, Marvin Blair, Fred Kimberlin, Ken Fitzgerald, Lester Murray, Jack Booher, and Van Neely. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Acres Field Cemetery. The family of Harold Dean Thomas has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN, 37683.
