Harold Dean Roark

Harold Dean Roark of Titusville, Florida, passed away on September 26, 2025 in Florida. He was born April 2, 1942 to the late Furman Luther and Faye Price Roark. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Mahala and her husband Dewey; brother, Darrell Roark and his wife Ola; and his step daughter, Carol.

Harold was a proud U.S. Army Veteran having received 3 Purple hearts. He served as a combat soldier. Harold loved his family very much; he especially cherished his wife, Jewel. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He also enjoyed being in the mountains.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jewel Gouge Roark; daughter, Bertha Roark Hatchett; children, Jerry and Richard; brothers, J.E. Roark and wife Juanita, Jerold Roark and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Joseph Hatchett, Catelyn Czichas, Danielle Guy, Faith Hatchett; great grandchildren, Kori Lawson, Hayden Lawson, Casey Czichas, Clayton Czichas; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Rock Creek Baptist Church (Creston, NC). The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Roark to officiate. Burial will follow the funeral at Price-Roark Cemetery with military honors to be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
