Hannah Marie Phipps, age 28, passed away unexpectedly January 19, 2026. Hannah was born February 11, 1997 to Junie Leonard and Rudy Phipps. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Sue Maze; grandfather, Steve Phipps; aunts, Vicki Maze, Misty Bright and cousins, Wes Hamby and Christopher Maze.
A devoted mother, Hannah's pride and joy were her beloved children. Hannah loved spending her time outdoors, whether it was riding motorcycles or sharing laughter with friends. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished the moments spent surrounded by those she loved. She worked at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living, where she dedicated herself to caring for others. She considered her coworkers and patients family, too. Hannah was a proud member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Junie Leonard and husband Mark; father, Rudy Phipps; daughter, Ashlyn Toney; son, Corbin Toney; brothers, Isaac Phipps (Destiny), Steven Phipps (Julianna), Jacob Phipps (Faith); boyfriend, Sam Arnold; father of her children, Jake Toney; Granny and Paw, Cheri and Mitchell Bright; Mamaw, Cassie Church; great grandfather, Junior Maze; nieces and nephews, Madilynn “Buggie” Phipps, Layla Harper, and anxiously awaiting baby Maeve; aunts and uncles, Chuck and Kristy Maze, Joey Bright, Tammy Morefield, Tim and Tammy Williams, Casey, Dakota and Megan Maze; cousins, Opal Hamby, Ashleigh Howard (Joe), Emmitt Mahala, Chase Williams, Austin Morefield and many, many close friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Greg Thompson officiating. The burial will follow at Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Dickens, Doug Stanton, Timmy Stanton, Andrew Wallace, Ernie Dugger, Bradley Arnold, Chase Williams and Hunter Tester. Honorary pallbearers are Uncle Brian Rainbolt, Jamie “Pops” Morefield, Tommy and Mark Ward, Dalton Snyder, Wes Bodenhamer, Mitchell Johnson, David Reece, and the staff at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living. The body will lie in state from 8:00-1:00 Friday, prior to the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
At other times, friends and family may visit the home of her mother, 393 Mill Creek Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
