Gordon Hodges

James “Gordon” Hodges, age 77 of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away suddenly at his home on March 31, 2025. Gordon was born July 22, 1948, in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late I.G. and Arna Mae Hodges.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Hodges, brother-in-law, Delmer (D.H.) Lowe and wife Beverly, Uncle Billy E. Reece, numerous cousins and close family friends.

Gordon worked in the banking industry for many years. After retirement he enjoyed photography and his (fast) cars. He was of the Christian Faith. Gordon and Frances always enjoyed getting together with family and friends in Tennessee.

Graveside service for Gordon will be at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from Sunset Memorial Park with Dennis Peterson officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Reece, Larry Reece, Mike Reece, Jim Reece, Jim Oliver, Danny Huddleston, Darian Chancellor, Jim Crowe, Carl Jenkins, Gary Hodges, Baxter Norris, Bennie Anderson, and Bill Perryman.
