Goldie Henson

Goldie Mary Dowell Trivette Henson, age 88, passed away on February 24, 2022 in Hudson, NC. Goldie was born on April 29, 1933 to the late Sherman and Lizzie Potter Dowell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Trivette; son, Ralph Trivette; second husband, Clay Henson and eight siblings. Goldie was a wonderful person who loved traveling. She enjoyed taking bus tours and cruises. She took pride in her accomplishment of visiting all the states except Alaska and Hawaii. Those left to cherish her memories include her brothers, Bill Dowell and Roy Dowell (Ruth) of Mountain City; grandson, David Henson Jr. and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Phillippi Cemetery with Pastor Tony Potter officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Dowell, David Henson, Josh Bumgardner, and Timmy Bumgardner.
