Glenda Carol Miller

Glenda Carol Miller, age 62, of Trade, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC following a brief illness, with her family by her side.  She was born on January 25, 1957 to the late Odell and Dorothy Fletcher Stanley.  In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by an infant brother and her special dog, Spanky.

Glenda was a former employee of Mountain City Glove Plant, Broyhill Inn and Appalachian State University.  Glenda loved spending time with her husband Ronald.  If you saw one, you saw both.  Glenda and Ronald also enjoyed working in hay and farming together. 

Glenda was a 1976 JCHS Graduate.  She was of the Christian faith.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Ronald C. Miller; sister, Angela Roten and husband Jeff and their daughter, Ashley and husband DE; brother, Richard Stanley and wife Sheila and their sons Richard Stanley Jr. and Michael Stanley; brother in law, Howard Miller and wife Iva Lea and their son, Eric Miller and wife Karen; sister-in-law, Sula Bonner; several more nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home.  Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at Reece Memorial Cemetery (Liberty Church Rd, Mtn. City).  Active pallbearers will be Isaiah Miller, Buster Mahala, Wil Heufel, Dean Tester, Jerry Stanley and Keith Cook.  Honorary pallbearer is Randall Fletcher.   

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home.

The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Leigh Ann Fritch, ER Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Watauga Medical Center and Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Frye Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care.
