Geraldine Ballou

Geraldine Glenna Ballou, age 86, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. She was born August 11, 1939 in Ashe County, NC to the late Clyde and Glenna Barlow. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Geraldine loved to read her Bible and knew it very well. She was a member of Mountain View Independent Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her brother-in-law, Ernest Farmer, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Mountain View Independent Methodist Church in Creston, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastors Tommy Stephens and James Henson officiating. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
