Geraldean Barr

Geraldean Simcox Barr, age 75, passed away on December 30, 2021. Geraldean was born on March 4, 1946 to the late Myrandean Simcox and Bertha Isaacs Simcox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Paul Barr. Geraldean was a wonderful daughter, mother, and grandmother who loved her church and Sunday school class at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She had a great personality, was very outgoing, and made friends everywhere she went. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Joana Morrison and husband Roger; sister, Hilda Simcox; brother, Tony Simcox and wife Barbara; special grandson, Hunter Morrison; special nephew, Aaron Simcox and wife Rebecca; special niece, Kelly Simcox; great nieces, Savannah and Shiloh; special friends, Janice Hawkins, JennaLee Mink, and Lucille Brown. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, especially Sandy Pleasant, Tessie Gregory, and Gloria Pukett; also, Johnson County Rescue Squad and the Johnson County Community Hospital.
