In Loving Memory of Jeff.

Geoffrey Craig “Jeff” Minks, age 53 of Mountain City, TN, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 surrounded by his family and friends. Jeff was born July 14, 1970 in Sarasota, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Minks was preceded in death by his father, Ronald David Minks of Mountain City, TN; grandparents, Karl Jenkins and Georgia Jenkins (Maw) both of Mountain City, TN; his baby sister, Linda Denise Minks also of Mountain City, TN; his uncle Larry Jenkins of Mountain City, TN; and his precious brother in law, Scott Wright.

Jeff worked for many years as a millwright worker. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and 4-wheeling. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch with his family and friends drinking a cold one. 

Jeff will be sadly missed and loved by all who knew him. Instead of saying good bye he would say “Love ya See ya”. Remembered with love in our hearts forever,

He and his loving wife Jennifer Minks were bound in Holy Matrimony for 30 years and he called her “My Honey”; Also those left to mourn his memory include his mother, Linda Layman; daughters, Tiffany Minks, Megan Sedgwick, Heather Minks, Tequilla Wright and Samantha Minks all of Mountain City, TN; six grandsons, Donavan, Konnor, Raiden River, Samuel, and Lucas; six granddaughters, Alivia, Emilynn, Natalie, Riley, Isabel, and Kayleigh( shithead); mother-in-law, Debbie Wright; brother, Ronnie Minks and wife Karen; sister Brenda Main and husband Kevin; Aunt Brenda and husband Bennie Wadford; nephews, Greg Hayworth (Miranda) J.D. Hayworth( Mollie) both of whom he loved as his sons; niece Harley Minks and son Abel; He had numerous great nieces and nephews whom he treasured and loved very much; special friends and family, Randy and Jerky Wright, Jessie McCoy, Martin Marlow and David Cornett.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm.
