Gary Lawrence

Gary Lawrence, age 69, of Lenoir, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, Hudson.  He was born May 26, 1949, son of the late Cecil and Geraldine Lawrence.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lona Oliver Lawrence of the home; two daughters, Melinda Sanders (Tony) and Amanda Greer (Mike) both of Kings Creek; two sons, Joseph Sumlin and Hugh Sumlin (Alice) both of Lenoir; two brothers and one sister; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Indian Hills Baptist Church, Lenoir, on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brian Davis officiating.  Burial will be in Laurel Haven Cemetery.

Military Honors will be rendered by Caldwell DAV chapters 6 and 84.
