Freddy Fritz

Freddy Fritz, age 67, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born October 22, 1958 to the late William and Margaret Fritz. In addition to his parents, Freddy was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Hamby and Lena Faye Townsend, and brother, John Fritz. 

Freddy had a great sense of humor and was very fun to be around. He was a big jokester but also had a stubborn and feisty side. He was the best dad ever and his son, Daniel fondly remembers the trips with his dad and riding bicycles.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Daniel Fritz, Keith Bryan Fritz; daughter, Cathy Elliott, Teresa Wright; sister, Julia Hamby; grandchildren, Roy Fritz, Timothy Fritz, Andrew Fritz, Alicia Rutager; great grandchildren, Tyson Hicks, Rodney Fritz, Waylon; several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

The family of Freddy Fritz has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 South Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
