Fredrick S. ‘Fred’ Robinson, age 72, of Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at his home.  He was born on August 7, 1946 to the late Halton Robinson and Elizabeth Buchanan Parks.  In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Parks; grandson, Emmitt Robinson; brother, Don Robinson and special aunt, Stella Blankenbeckler. Fred was a devoted and faithful member of Cobbs Creek Baptist Church and also served as Deacon. Fred was a Vietnam Veteran having honorably served in the United States Army.  He worked many years millwrighting but was a farmer at heart.  Fred was very much a family man.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was his grandchildren’s biggest fan; to his grandsons and their athletic abilities and to his granddaughter’s cheerleading.   Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 51 years, Wanda McQueen Robinson; sons, Scott Robinson and wife Christine and George Robinson and wife Jessica; sister, Beverly Johnson and husband Leroy; brothers, Doug Robinson and wife Carol and Steve Parks; grandchildren, Tristan Robinson, Ty Robinson, Tuff Robinson, Troy Robinson, Haley Robinson, Hannah Jo Robinson, Wyatt Robinson and Gus Robinson; several cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of special friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Cobbs Creek Baptist Church.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Mac Arnold Jr. officiating.  Graveside service and inurnment with Military Honors conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Brookshire Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers are Joe Pat Snyder, Bud Reece, Lewis C. Walker, Gale Combs, Jim Moody, Bill Kuhn, Ron McKinney and Charles Greer.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brotherhood of Cobbs Creek Church, 150 Church Street, Butler, TN 37640. The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to Sam Bailey, Leann Barnett, Amedysis Hospice Staff, especially Lori Ligon RN, Kayla Simpson RN and Gail Miller. At other times the family will receive friends at the home 1564 Copley Branch Rd., Butler TN.
