Ferd Greer

Ferd Thomas Greer, who is known as ‘Tom’ by his beloved, was born on February 18, 1936, in North Carolina to Frank Greer and Millie Davis-Greer. Tom enlisted in the U.S Army, where he proudly served his country and traveled the world collecting souvenirs as he went. Following the completion of his service, Tom began working for Chrysler, where he proudly retired.

His friends and family remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, loving and resourceful man, who believed in living life to the fullest and enjoying every second.

Tom was extremely passionate about NASCAR and often indulged in fishing, four-wheeling and exercising. He was a generous, witty, and dedicated individual who loved everyone around him and had an uncanny ability of brightening the mood no matter the circumstance. He was an active and devout member of the UAW in Newark, DE and served as a trusted member of the board. The UAW was very special to Tom as he was very special to the UAW and its members.
