Eva Kate Johnson Eva Kate Johnson, age 98, of Butler, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Elizabethton, TN. She was born October 8, 1922, in Old Butler, Johnson County, TN to the late Robert White and Eddy Matherly White. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband Troy Johnson, daughter, Teresa Wagner, sons, Dwight Johnson and Bob Johnson. Eva was an honorary member of Midway Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Mary Howes and Bonnie Reece(Eddie); sons, Jim Johnson, Doug Johnson, David Johnson(Pattie) and Andy Johnson(Angie); grandchildren, Julie Brown, Tony Reece, Tracy Hoffmen, Stacy Hubbard, Justin Howes, Charlie Howes, Bob Johnson, Jr., Jody Wagner, Tiffany Wilson, Eathan Johnson, and Emily and Eva Johnson; great granddaughter, Hanna Rose Brown; daughter-in-law, Lisa Dugger, nieces and nephews, Christine, Bob, Nancy, and Paul Cashion; cousin Pearl Matherly. There will be a Graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 17, 2021 at Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Thompson to officiate. Music will be by Tyler Thompson. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons. The family would like to say a special thanks to Brittany Adkins, Joanie McQueen, Megan Renfro, and to all the caregivers at Hillview Nursing Home.
