Erma Dean Graybeal

    Erma Dean Richardson Graybeal, age 80, of Creston, North Carolina, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Margate Health & Rehab Center of Jefferson, NC. She was born on July 21, 1938 in Lancaster, PA to the late Walter R. Richardson and Ruth Allen Treadway Richardson. In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lou Jones, three brothers, John Richardson, Allen Richardson and Roger Richardson, two grandchildren, Sandra White and Benjamin Mullis.    Erma enjoyed being with her family and will be truly missed. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Erma attended Warrensville Baptist Church before her illness.   Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Wanda Woodard and husband John of Creston, NC, sons, Johnny Graybeal of Lenoir, NC and Ronnie Graybeal and wife Patti of Jefferson, NC, sister, Nancy Blevins of Gastonia, NC, brothers, Bill Richardson of Stanley, NC and Jay Richardson and wife Betty of Shallotte, NC, grandchildren, Kati Graybeal, Staci Oliver, Alex Graybeal and Kenneth Faircloth, six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.   The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Restoration Church, 221 Barnett St., West Jefferson, NC. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Edward Seatz, Jr. officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at Ashelawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.   The family will be at the home of her son, Ronnie Graybeal 101 Hawthorne Lane, Jefferson, NC.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com
