Eddy Phillips

Dale Edward “Eddy” Phillips, age 53, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at his residence. Eddy was the son of Dale and Louise Phillips of Mountain City, TN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Phillips and his grandparents, Paul and Bertha Phillips and Herman and Edna Arnold. Eddy was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 33 years, Amy Phillips; parents, Dale and Louise Phillips; brother, Kevin Phillips; nephews, Chase, Tyler, and Lucas (Kamryn) Phillips; He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Junior and Liz McQueen; brother-in-law, Jason McQueen and wife Jamie; nephews, Mason and Jase McQueen; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Anyone who knew him knew how full of life he was. He loved his family and friends and he never met a stranger. Eddy had so many friends that he farmed with, hunted with, and worked with in the lumber business. You all hold a special place in our hearts, We will never forget your friendship.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Gambill Springs Cemetery with Mike Penley and Coy Adams to officiate. Eddy will lie in state at Mountain City Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. prior to the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Eric Trivette, David Bunting, Michael Dickens, Mike Stout, Bob Pardue and Joe Stanley.
