Earl Dean Able, age 64, of Elizabethton, TN and formerly from Mountain City, TN; passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center.  He was born November 25, 1954 in Johnson County to Virgie Able. Earl Dean grew up in the Sugar Creek Community of Laurel Bloomery, TN.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Diane Gentry and by a brother Ronnie Lee Gentry (February 1, 2019). Earl Dean worked in Construction and at the sawmill and farmed. He was willing to help anyone at any time.  He enjoyed his nephews and going places with his family.  He was a member of Stateline Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Virgie Gentry, sisters Shelby Roark and husband Joseph, and Wanda Gentry and husband Charlie, one brother, Danny Gentry and two very special nephews, Joseph Roark and Daniel Gentry, and special friend, Cheryl Scalf and many more special friends and neigbors. The graveside service for Earl Dean will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Stateline Cemetery with Mike Bowers to officiate.  Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Everyone is ask to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mountain City Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 1670 Slabtown Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
