Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Osborne, age 71, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, August 09, 2018. She was born on November 8, 1946 to the late Floyd and Grace Vanover Eastridge.  In addition to her parents Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, John Fate Osborne, daughter, Joann Osborne, sister, Kathy Eastridge, and brothers, Gene Eastridge and Dean Eastridge.   Dottie was a simple lady who believed in hard work and honesty. Her hobbies were crocheting and quilting, but the two most important things in her life were her faith and her family. She spent her life taking care of her family and serving the Lord. Dottie was especially close to her grandchildren. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Joannie McQueen and husband Teddy. Grandchildren, Ethan McQueen, Chance McQueen and Noah McQueen. Sisters, Judy Barton and husband Charlie, Mary Jennings and the late Jack Jennings, Janie Thomas and the late Carl Thomas, Donna Eastridge, Tammy Gentry and the late Eddie Gentry, Ruth Eastridge. Brothers, Joe Eastridge and wife Hazel, Tommy Eastridge and wife Carolyn and Jimmy Eastridge and wife Cheryl. Several cousins, nieces and nephews and many special friends. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church.  Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating.  Special music will be provided by Wendy Arnold.  Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Mahala Cemetery, Creston, NC.  Pallbearers are Mike Eastridge, Mark Eastridge, Tommy Eastridge, John Thomas, Ronnie Garland and Danny Osborne. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund,                         Mountain City, TN 37683. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Joannie McQueen, 1235 Hwy 91, Shady Valley, TN.
