Dorothy Mae McCulloch Nichols, age 81, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton.  She was born on December 5, 1936 to the late John David McCullough and Edna Earl Ward McCulloch.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Arthur Nichols; brother, Thomas ‘T’ McCulloch and an infant brother.

She was a member of First Christian Church of Mountain City.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Sandra Rambo and husband Stuart, Nancy Lewis and husband Gary, Barbara Miller, Debbie Green and husband Dave and David Nichols and wife Melissa; sisters, Peggy Pope and husband Dean, Sue Roark; sister-in-law, Ruby McCulloch; brother, Jim McCulloch and wife Ella Mae; grandchildren; Gary Ray Lewis Jr. and wife Michelle, Tammy Bunton and husband David, Elizabeth Ann Baker and husband Chris, Charles Dyson, Christopher Pennington, Cindy Kern and husband David, Mindy Phillips, Michael Pennington and wife Tiffany, Amanda Baker and husband Jeff, William ‘Bill’ Rambo and wife Caitlin and Tyler Nichols; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver, Debbie Overstreet.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Mountain Home National VA Cemetery with the family.  Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers are Dean Pope, Shane Mann, Anthony Yoggerst, Zach Yoggerst, Tony Yoggerst, Steve Pope, her sons-in-laws and her many nephews.
