Dorothy Mae Snyder

Dorothy Mae Snyder   Dorothy “Dot” Mae Snyder, age 83, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on November 26, 2019. She was a Christmas baby of 1935 in Ashe County, North Carolina, to Monroe and Sally Combs Bare. Dot was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Bare.   After living in Jefferson, NC for about 35 years, she married her late husband Oscar Snyder then moved to Alcoa, TN. After spending about 40 years there, her illness brought her back to Mountain City where she passed away at Mountain City Care Center.   Dot is survived by many nieces, nephews and caregivers, Hugh and Loretta Slemp.   Graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park at noon on November 30, 2019 with Pastor Stephen Spencer officiating. The body of Dot will lie in state on Friday, November 29, 2019, at Mountain City Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the building fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 1354 Cold Springs Rd, Mountain City, TN 37683.   The family would like to extend their appreciation to Mountain City Care Center for their excellent care of Dot.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Dorothy Mae Snyder has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
