Dora Lee Trivette, age 78 of the Dry Hill Community, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 31, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center. Dora was born March 26, 1947 in Carter County, TN to the late Vurner R. Burchett and Beulah Dugger Burchett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Nella Mae Grindstaff, and brothers, Roy Burchett, Herman Burchett, Earl Burchett, and Rick Burchett.

Dora had a love of gardening and canning what she grew. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to play the guitar and sing for the Lord. She loved going to the beach, eating seafood, and playing Rummy with family. Dora was a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church.

Dora is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carl D. Trivette; daughter, Angelia (Angie) Snyder and husband Brent; sons, Eric Trivette and wife Chastity, Michael Trivette and wife Nikki, and Mark Trivette; brother, Dean Burchett and wife Martha; sisters, Betty Dugger, Faye Campbell, and Teresa Chambers and husband Terry; special sister-in-law, Jo Burchett; grandchildren, Jason Seatz and wife Shelly, Justin Seatz, Caleb Trivette and wife Faith, Hannah Trivette, Austin Trivette, Allison Trivette, Gavin Trivette, Garrett Trivette, Grant Trivette, Ava Trivette; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Midway Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Dr. Greg Thompson and Pastor Ray Greene officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral at the Trivette Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Seatz, Justin Seatz, Caleb Trivette, Austin Trivette, Gavin Trivette, Garrett Trivette, and Grant Trivette.

At other times family and friends may visit the home at 444 Carl Trivette Lane, Butler, TN.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the mission fund at Midway Missionary Baptist Church.
