Donna Lee Brown

Donna Lee Brown   Donna Lee Brown, age 72, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on October 17, 2018 at her home. She was born in Pennsylvania on July 03, 1946 to the late Howard and Violet Wright.  Donna moved to Tennessee in 1989 and lived in Butler with her beloved husband, Gary, and her daughter, Marny Ferguson.   Donna was a very strong person who loved her family deeply. She loved crocheting, making jewelry, coloring, and playing games on Facebook.  Donna and Gary had four children.  Although Gary was not their biological father, he was a wonderful dad.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Matthew.  They are now strolling over heaven together.   Donna was a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church. She loved her Pastor and his family and her church family.  She loved to listen to the church choir.  She had four very special friends; Wanda Laws, Johnny and Toni Crowder, and Jack Warren.   Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 34 years, Robert Gary Brown, children Dawn Smith, Marny Ferguson, and Jennifer Simpler, grandchildren Ashley Taylor, Christopher Lipford, Joshua Ferguson, Amber Banks, Crystal Gallagher, Tiffany Cox, Carmelita Cox, Glenn Smith, Amanda Cox, and Shianne Simpler, great-grandchildren Matthew Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Hailey Lipford, Molly Lipford, Tatum Lowery, Jazmine Dawn Eckert, Jeremiah James, Kenneth Tybirious Eckert, Gunner Gallagher, McKynzie Gallagher, John Gallagher, Reilly Gallagher, Kylie Banks, Konnor Banks, Kaidden Banks, grand-daughters in law, Kelsey Lipford, Casey Lowery, grandsons in law, Kyle Banks, John Gallagher, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to say a special thank you to Daniel Jones, Lori Ligon, and Gail Miller.   The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, October, 20, 2018 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 officiated by Pastor Leonard Fletcher. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from the Dyson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Billy Wilson, Johnny Crowder, Larry Miller, Matt Taylor, Chris Lipford, and Josh Ferguson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Smith and Justin Cox.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Righteous Cross Ministries, Dyson Grove Baptist Church, 8483 Roan Creek Road, Butler, TN  37640     At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 470 Pine St, Butler, TN.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Donna Lee Brown has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home located at 224 S.
