Mrs. Diane Carol Bumgardner Icenhour, 57, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her residence, following a period of declining health.

Diane was born on October 26, 1966 in Ashe County to Lena Mae Maine Bumgardner and the late Steve Carroll Bumgardner. She was employed as a sewer for Carpenter Furniture in Hickory and attended Crosslink Church in Rutherford College. She was a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed her flowers and gardening, being outside, going to the beach, and doing anything with her family, as long as they were together.

Surviving is her mother, Lena Bumgardner of Creston, her beloved husband, David Icenhour of the home, two sons, Ethan Icenhour and girlfriend Dakota York, and Matthew Icenhour and fiancé Ashlyn Wright, all of Connelly Springs. Also surviving is a brother, James Payne, two sisters, Linda Setzer and Donna Bumgardner, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Crosslink Church in Rutherford College with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Martin Alexander Family Cemetery in Ashe County. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at Crosslink Church in Rutherford College.

Heritage Funeral Service & Crematory of Valdese is serving the family.
