Diana McGlamery

Diana Lee McGlamery, age 64, passed away April 29, 2026 at Johnson City Medical Center. Diana was born May 12, 1961 in Ashland, OH to the late Spencer and Georgia Shomate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Shomate, David Shomate and nephew, Daniel Shomate.

Diana was a wonderful mother and always put her children first. Nothing brought her more joy than being a Mom to her daughters and Nana to her grandchildren. She was always up for a trip to Hobby Lobby and enjoyed decorating her house, especially for Christmas. She was an avid reader and loved crafting and Legos. She was a member Berea Baptist Church and attended Little Doe Baptist Church when her health allowed.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Lawrence McGlamery; daughters, Tanieka Halberg (Ari), Madison Sexton (Sean); grandchildren, Jacob and Leeann Halberg, Elijah Sexton; sister, Dixie Widener; brothers, Billy Shomate (Joyce), Rick Shomate (Sheila); special nieces, Chastity Miller and Emily Shaw; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Little Doe Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Preacher Craig Smith officiating. Special music will be provided by Edna Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Harley Stout, Hunter Blevins, Belinda Price, and Rick Snyder.
