Deborah Lynn Forrester

Deborah Lynn ‘Debbie’ Forrester, age 58, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on June 1, 1960 to William and Betty Taylor Murphy.

Debbie was a devoted Christian and attended Nelson Chapel Baptist Church.  She was very active and dedicated to the church.

She was a very kind hearted, generous, and caring person who cared for others more than herself.  She loved animals and enjoyed working in the yard and raising flowers.  She also enjoyed sewing and making things for her grandchildren and other children. 

Debbie’s pride and joy was her grandchildren, who she loved so much and who she had dedicated her life to. 

Those left to cherish her memories include companion of 30 years, Donny Warren; parents, William ‘Bill’ and Betty Murphy; children, Amy Dickens and husband Johnny and Kristi Morefield and husband Bob; grandchildren, Shane Perkins, Shawn Perkins, Mitchell Johnson, Colten Grindstaff, Kylie Morefield and Macie Morefield.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Nelson Chapel Baptist Church with Pastors Mike McNutt, Josh Jones and Terry Woods officiating. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff at Amedysis Home Health and Hospice, especially Stephanie Jones and Torainna Hensley for all of their compassion and kindness.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 1989 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, TN.
