Dean Arnold

Dean Jackie Arnold, age 88, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born March 20, 1934 to the late Kelly Arnold and Cliffie Phillips Arnold. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McNeil Arnold; sisters, Rena Brown, Hester Snyder, Nell Galliher and June Smith; brothers, Emitt Arnold, Fayette Arnold, Leavie Arnold, and Danny Arnold; and son-in-law, Eddie Guy.

Dean was a simple man who enjoyed working on his farm. He played guitar and loved music. Dean attended Shouns United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter, Cindy Burton Guy; son, David Arnold and wife Tracie; grandchildren, Brian Farmer, Melissa Robinson, and Tonya Burton; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Dalton, Desirea, Derek, and Dara Bella Robinson; sisters, Vean Reynolds, Inez Wallace, and Lula Bell Wallace; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Arnold and JoAnn Arnold; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from the Kelly Arnold Cemetery (2420 Antioch Rd. Mountain City, TN.) with Danny Cullop to officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Dog and End of Life Sanctuary, c/o Melissa Gentry, 977 Harbin Hill Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
