David L Maitre

David Lester Maitre, age 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019.  He was born on September 15, 1950 to the late Edmund Joseph Maitre and Vivian Mae Scotten Maitre. 

He was a gifted mechanic and loved working on cars.  He loved football and was a huge Eagles fan. 

David was a United States Navy Veteran.  He served four years in the Navy and six years in the reserves.

Those left to cherish his memories include his companion, Sue Dugger; daughter, Jacqlyn van Blerk and husband Maartin; brothers, Edmund Joseph Maitre, Howard William ‘Chuck’ Maitre and wife Barb and Richard Allen Maitre and wife Tina; grandson, Abel van Blerk; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.

It was David’s wish to be cremated and that no formal service be held.  He will be laid to rest at the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN.
