Danny Mitchell

Danny Karl Mitchell, age 64, passed away September 24, 2025 at Johnson County Community Hospital. Danny was born April 12, 1961 in Mountain City to the late Jim and Edith Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Mitchell; sister, Dorothy Graham and brothers, Jimmy Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell, and Andy Mitchell.

Danny was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa and he adored his dog, Sadie.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 23 years, Pat Mitchell; step-daughter, Christina Snyder; step sons, TJ Church, Johnny Church, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Wallace of Abingdon, VA; several grandchildren including Dalton Snyder, who was his pride and joy; mother-in-law, Wilma Dowell; brother-in-law, Teddy Dowell, and nephew, Blu Key.

It was Danny’s wish to be cremated and no service held.

The family of Danny Karl Mitchell has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
