Dameto Jo Phillippi

Dameto Jo Phillippi, age 64, passed away September 22, 2025 at Mountain City Care Center. She was born April 15, 1961 in Mountain City, TN to the late Chrissie Wilson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Phillippi; sisters, Barbara Wilson, Carolyn Wilson; brothers, James Wilson, Gib Wilson and granddaughter, Kelsey Cox.

Dameto was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed crafting and coloring. She was a proud Christian who loved her church and took her Bible everywhere she went.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Jamie Lynn Forrester, Deirdre Cox; son, Richie Phillippi and wife Jessica; sister, Jessie Reece; brother, Michael Wilson; step daughter, Miranda Forrester; grandchildren, Dalton Phillippi, Paige Phillippi, Logan Phillippi, Kalista Ingram, Cameron Watson, Billie Sue Shilling, Brandi Eggers, and many more; great grandchildren, Waylon Phillippi, Parker Walton, Weston Blevins, Mila Stout, and soon to arrive Laynie Reane Walton; special friends, Adina Grayson, Glenda Lay and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Roark officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery on Hwy 421 North, Mountain City, TN. Pallbearers will be Richie Phillippi, Dalton Phillippi, Ernie Dugger, Chris Dugger, Hunter Arney, and Randy Cox.

At other times, friends may visit the home of her daughter Deirdre, 114 Rash School Road, Creston, NC, 28615.
