Corine Smith Arnold, 88, of Elkhart, IN went Home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Corine was born on March 10, 1933 to the late Victor and Maude (Pierce) Broyles in Butler, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, J.D. Smith and James Arnold, as well as 4 siblings, Ralph, Earl, Ethel and Sue. Corine is survived by her daughters, Shirley (William) Sawyer of Elkhart, Tina (Randy) Arnold of Butler, TN, and Lisa (Gary) Wheeler of Elkhart; grandchildren, Lori (Dave) Arisman, Ryan Arnold, Michael (Shana) Sawyer, Melissa (Ean) Frederick, and Jordan Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Aylah, Grace, Caleb, Brinley, and Skyley Sawyer, Lillian and Isaiah Arnold, and Gabriella and Corina Frederick. Corine worked at Holiday Rambler for many years. To have met Corine Smith Arnold was to love her. She was full of joy and always had a comforting word to share. She enjoyed spending her mornings drinking a hot cup of coffee, praying, and reading her Bible. Corine was passionate about her family and was well known for her cooking. She also enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel. Even as Dementia stole away pieces of her mind, you would often find her singing along to the Gaither’s. Corine was a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. A funeral for Corine will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in New Life Church, 11593 McKinley Rd., Osceola, IN 46561 with Dr. Mike Cramer and Michael Sawyer officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 2 hours prior to the start of the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart is assisting the family with Indiana arrangements. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Butler Memorial Cemetery, 363 Red Hill Rd., Butler, TN 37640 with Michael Sawyer officiating. Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church St., Mountain City, TN 37683 is assisting the family with the graveside service. Memorial Contributions may be directed to New Hope Church, 346 South 00EW, Kokomo, IN 46902.
